සිලිලාරේ – The Voiceless Waters
I am delighted to announce that Shirly Samarasinghe’s second feature film direction, SILILARE (සිලිලාරේ), produced by Gayanth Prasannajith Jayasundara and Dr Darshana Anuradha Chandrasiri, has been officially selected for the 28th UK Asian Film Festival to be held from May 1st to 10th in London, England.

I warmly invite all Sri Lankan film enthusiasts in England to witness the world premiere of SILILARE at 6:30 pm at Metro Cinema on Tuesday, 5th May 2026.
The UK Asian Film Festival, inaugurated in 1999, is the longest-running film festival in the United Kingdom dedicated to South Asian cinema. SILILARE proudly becomes the 12th Sri Lankan film to be officially selected in the festival’s history.
